African Sky partners with My One School, Inc.

African Sky is proud to announce our newest corporate sponsor and community partner, My One School, Inc.
Inspired by her heroine Mother Teresa, Besa Kosova gathered some of her friends to share with them her dream to build schools all around the world. Her idea was a simple one: sell donated books to raise money for school construction projects throughout the developing world. Besa explained to her friends that, “Each year in America, millions of books are destroyed, shredded, burned and thrown away. Equally, millions of children will never know the joy of owning a book. In Africa, the book famine is a harsh reality.”
With the love and support of family, friends, and her community, Besa created My One School, Inc. and in no time she inspired thousands of people to donate and buy used books to transform the lives of children who had no access to a primary school education.
After a serendipitous meeting with African Sky Education Director Matt Sanders, Besa joined the African Sky family to build a new school in Mali. Because of her close ties to the Winter Springs community near Orlando, Florida, Besa has partnered with the African Sky Club at Winter Springs High School to realize their shared vision to build a sister school in West Africa.
Keeth Elementary School in Winter Springs has already raised money to build a school with African Sky, and now we are proud to announce that the Winter Springs community is raising money to sponsor the construction of a second school.
