We are thrilled to have such talented and dedicated staff for academic year 2011-2012.


Mara Robertson (mara.k.robertson@gmail.com) is African Sky's Undergraduate Intern, leading the charge on Minnesota fundraising and friend-raising at Twin Cities colleges. Her goal is to collaborate with different campus groups to raise awareness and resources, recruiting new volunteers along the way. She is student at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she studies Neuroscience. For the past three years she has worked at the college in health programming and promotion. Mara has had numerous experiences abroad, including participation in multiple international peace summits abroad and living in Spain for five months.
Ray Schneider (schneider.ray@gmail.com) is one of African Sky's Graduate Fellows, and is currently pursuing his MPH at the University of Minnesota, specializing in Community Health Education. Previously he worked for Medtronic, Inc's Diabetes division in sales and software training, after completing his undergraduate degree in Genetics and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin. He is currently exploring techniques in health education, as well as tools for disseminating healthcare information effectively. Ray's goal with African Sky is to gain more experience working with non-profit NGOs after many years in the healthcare industry. He is working on data collection, standardization, and project management with African Sky at this time.
Arthur Sillah (artsil2010@gmail.com) is a Graduate Fellow with African Sky. He graduated from Macalester College with a degree in Chemistry, with Biochemistry emphasis. During his time at Macalester, he spent a summer with another Macalester student in my home country, Sierra Leone rebuilding a school that was destroyed during the 11 years of civil war, and leading workshops on community health issues (with a focus of malaria, HIV/AIDS) and environmental conservation to empower the students in the village. He is currently a second year student in Epidemiology student at the University of Minnesota, working towards his Master’s in Public Health. Arthur’s current work with African Sky focuses on program impact evaluation and community assessment in Mali.
